Quite surprising...

According to a recent survey, it was revealed that the employees of the Indian companies are spending an average five hours a week on the web surfing, thereby causing the companies to incur a loss of about Rs 1.6lakh per employee. This survey was carried out in 450 organizations across the 5 major cities-Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai & Hyderabad. Delhi tops the list with employees spending 12.35 hours every week on internet surfing in the workplace. The survey was conducted by Internet security firm Websense & research firm Nielsen Company. For those who are in the dark,Websense us a Nasdaq listed prominent company and Nielsen is a popular survey company in India. It has been found that banking & finance sites are the most accessed, followed by e-mail or chat and news sites. The respondents for this survey included IT managers from many small and large organizations. What a waste?.Dont' you think so. It’s high time the companies do something about this...

How can it be termed as a a waste..? A strenuous and hectic lifestyle s xperienced by those in reputed MNC's.. So they definitely need to take their mind off for a while. And with the recent trends n technological advancement all the banking, payments hav been made available online thereby reducing the onus on the customers... All these tasks like bill payments,..etc r now being done at ease.. So surfing for news, cricket updates, finance sites,....... wudn hamper their staff's performance... Instead the IT Majors should focus on how to motivate n help its employees to perform better..Also the employees should put into proper use of much of the freedom granted to them...So a proper grooming n motivating session shall help solve the task......
